    The reserve offers a unique vista of rounded hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animals and birdlife.Buffalo springs records over 365 species of bird. They include; helmeted and vulturine guinea fowls, sandgrouse and doves in addition to a galaxy of smaller birds.Game includes reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, elephant, black rhino, ground squirrel, oryx, Somali ostrich, hippo, crocodile,gerenuk, buffalo, lion,leopard, cheetah and hyena.Accomodation is found in the Samburu Game lodge sited on the edge of the Uaso Nyiro River.

    Begin your experience of a Kenya safari at Rhino Watch Lodge. Your first destination will be the Rhino Watch Lodge where you will arrive in time for lunch. The Lodge is located around the Mt Kenya region. Mt Kenya is Africa’s second highest peak and regarded as the realm of Ngai “god” of the local Kikuyu people. It was also known as Kirinyaga meaning ‘place of light’. The mountain is an awe-inspiring sight. You will spend two nights here. Overnight at lodge (B,L,D)

    Naivasha is your next destination. This largely horticultural town is home to Lake Naivasha, one of the fresh water lakes on the Rift Valley floor. For your afternoon you may opt to explore Crescent Island, a private secure wildlife sanctuary surrounded by the waters of Lake Naivasha otherwise you may fill your days at leisure. Overnight at lodge (B,L,D)

    The famous Maasai Mara is your next destination. Kenya is definitely the home of the original safari. Even before getting to the reserve itself, you will begin to feel the wild with sightings of animals roaming around. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in. You will head on out for your first game drive at 1600hrs. If lucky you will get an opportunity to see the ‘King’ of the Jungle among other species such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, the elusive leopard and several herbivores unique to this region such as the topi. Overnight at lodge (B,L,D)

    From the runways of Milan to Paris, the Maasai influence is felt far and wide as is evident in several designers’ collections like the famous Louis Vuitton. Before breakfast you will have an early morning game drive and explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve, considered as one of the world’s natural wonders; it is a place not to be missed. Marvel at the beauty of the hills and the plains, not forgetting the Maasai people whose beautiful clothes and bead work will inspire you. Would it not be magnificent if you owned a piece of the Maasai culture? Well, not to worry you get an opportunity to observe and buy their dresses, beadwork and art. Overnight at lodge (B,L,D)

    Check-out after breakfast and embark on your journey to the coast of Mombasa, particularly the south coast in Diani. You will have a brief stop-over in Nairobi for lunch (on own arrangements) before transferring to the airport to catch your an evening flight to Mombasa. The Swahili beaches are a world removed from the plains and mountains up-country and a good environment to enjoy some sun, sea and sand. Overnight at beach hotel (B,D)

    You will get to experience these days at your own leisure. Enjoy the walks by the beach or relax as you soak up the sun.

    Optional activities here will include diving at Diani Marine (at own cost) or you can just relax at the beach for some well deserved rest and relaxation. Overnight at beach hotel (B,D)

    This sadly marks our final day of fun. You will be transferred to Mombasa Airport for your flight to Nairobi.

    • A visitor to Kenya and Tanzania requires a visa that costs 50 US$ per person and can be obtained on arrival for citizens of the EU, Australia, the US and a number of other countries.

    Other Information

    • A yellow fever certificate is required for guests entering Tanzania and Zanzibar after having visited certain countries in Africa. In this case travelers from Kenya will be required to produce this certificate which should be dated 10 days before the respective travel into these countries.
    1. All hotels are based on availabilities at the time of booking. In the event that any accommodation is not available we will substitute a comparable property or adjust the itinerary if necessary without compromising the integrity of the overall safari experience.
    2. Please note that at proposal stage, we will not have checked availability of the lodges included in our proposal to you and will only be done once confirmation has been received.
    3. Quotes are valid for a 3 month period.
    4. Prices are only valid for the number of people quoted for as indicated above and an increase or decrease in the numbers will affect the price.
    5. Driving times can vary considerably along with the road conditions.
    6. This is a cost for a private safari. The activities are flexible and can be changed to suit your requirements
