The reserve offers a unique vista of rounded hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animals and birdlife.
Buffalo springs records over 365 species of bird. They include; helmeted and vulturine guinea fowls, sandgrouse and doves in addition to a galaxy of smaller birds.
Game includes reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, elephant, black rhino, ground squirrel, oryx, Somali ostrich, hippo, crocodile,gerenuk, buffalo, lion,leopard, cheetah and hyena.
Accomodation is found in the Samburu Game lodge sited on the edge of the Uaso Nyiro River.

We take a morning flight to Mombasa and transfer to Mombasa beach hotel after a city tour of Mombasa which includes a visit to Fort Jesus, Mamba Village, “Haller’s Park” – a masterpiece in environmental conservation. Overnight at a Mombasa Beach hotel (B,D)
The day is spent at leisure in this beautiful stretch of white sands less than one hour’s drive from the famous port of Mombasa. You may opt for a lunch cruise on the famous Tamarind Dhow. Overnight stay at a Mombasa Beach Hotel (B,D)
After breakfast we check out and embark on a journey south towards Malindi. Our destination is Turtle Bay Beach Resort in Watamu where for the next few days you will spend your days at leisure either relaxing by the beach, engaged in water sports like scuba diving, surfing or exploring the nearby nature trails and historic ruins. Overnight at Beach hotel (B,D)
After check out from Turtle we transfer to Malindi Airport for our mid-morning flight to Nairobi. Highly recommended is dinner at the world renowned Carnivore Restaurant before proceeding to the airport for your flight back home.
